Cell Stem Culture

Stem cells are either extracted from adult tissue or from a dividing zygote in a culture dish. Once extracted, scientists place the cells in a controlled culture that prohibits them from further specializing or differentiating but usually allows them to divide and replicate. The process of growing large numbers of embryonic stem cells has been easier than growing large numbers of adult stem cells, but progress is being made for both cell types.

How The Cell Was Discoverd?,Visit To Know http://www.healthuse.com/category/baby-health/

Stem cell lines

Once stem cells have been allowed to divide and propagate in a controlled culture, the collection of healthy, dividing, and undifferentiated cells is called a stem cell line. These stem cell lines are subsequently managed and shared among researchers. Once under control, the stem cells can be stimulated to specialize as directed by a researcher – a process known as directed differentiation. Embryonic stem cells are able to differentiate into more cell types than adult stem cells.

Embryonic stem cells, as their name suggests, are derived from embryos. Most embryonic stem cells are derived from embryos that develop from eggs that have been fertilized in vitro—in an in vitro fertilization clinic—and then donated for research purposes with informed consent of the donors. They are not derived from eggs fertilized in a woman’s body. The embryos from which human embryonic stem cells are derived are typically four or five days old and are a hollow microscopic ball of cells called the blastocyst. The blastocyst includes three structures: the trophoblast, which is the layer of cells that surrounds the blastocoel, a hollow cavity inside the blastocyst; and the inner cell mass, which is a group of cells at one end of the blastocoel that develop into the embryo proper.

Detailed Information on Mantle Cell Lymphoma

Mantle cell lymphoma is a rare form of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It is a fast growing tumor that spreads fast to different organs of the body. Mantle cell lymphoma can arise at any age from the late 30s to old age, but is more common in the over 50s. Mantle cell lymphoma, like other cancers, is not infectious and cannot be passed on to other people. It is three times more common in men than in women. It affects men much more commonly than women. The male-to-female ratio is 4:1.There is only about 15,000 patients presently in the U.S. (The prevalence seems to be somewhat higher in Europe).

There are no definite risk-factors for getting this lymphoma. The first sign of the condition is frequently a painless swelling in the neck, armpit or groin, caused by enlarged lymph nodes. Frequently more than one group of nodes is affected. The lymphoma may spread to affect various organs in the body, such as the bone marrow, liver or spleen. About 1 in 4 people with mantle cell lymphoma will also have the disease in the stomach or bowel. Some people experience a loss of appetite and tiredness. Other symptoms may comprise night sweats, unexplained high temperatures, fever, heavy night sweats and weight loss.

Mantle cell lymphoma is common for a person to have primary regarded” a bump” on the neck or in the armpits or groin. There are no established average of treatment for MCL, and not even consensus among specialists on how to treat it optimally. There are four classes of treatments currently in general use: chemotherapy, immune based therapy, radio immunotherapy and new biologic agents. Chemotherapy is the use of anti-cancer (cytotoxic) drugs to destroy cancer cells. Chemotherapy is administered in the form of injections or drips in the veins over a few hours to few days. It is the most commonly used treatment for mantle cell lymphoma.

Biological therapy has been tried effectively in various forms of lymphoma. It includes injections of special molecules called monoclonal antibodies that target cancer cells based on special markers on their surface. Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody that is broadly used in many types of Non-hodgkin lymphoma. It can have good activity against MCL alone but especially in combination with chemotherapies to prolong response duration. A bone marrow or stem-cell transplant after chemotherapy may be an option for young individuals who have a matched donor.

Resveratrol Rebuilds Heart Cells? Get the Facts!

If you have read reports saying that resveratrol rebuilds heart cells, find out where the reporters got there information. There are published studies that concluded it protects and prolongs the lifespan of heart cells, but rebuilding is another story entirely.

After an attack, damaged heart muscle cells cannot regenerate. The muscle struggles to pump blood. Additionally, tissue damage can lead to congestive heart failure, which leads to death in more than half of diagnosed patients.

There is research indicating that cardiac function can be restored and improved through the use of stem cells. There are other studies indicating that resveratrol can prevent the cells from dying. But, there is no research indicating that resveratrol rebuilds heart cells. Of course, it is possible to become confused.

Those things that protect a cell may be thought of as rebuilding it. But one of the worrisome things about resveratrol is that it may deliver survival or death signals to a cardiac cell, depending on the dosage. In other words, at high doses, it could cause a heart cell to die. The major concern, for health writers like me, is that some supplement companies promote the use of high daily doses of this compound, when there is no good data on when a dose becomes toxic.

Mega doses, anything higher than 400 units per day, of vitamin E cause bleeding. Vitamin A, in the animal form, is also toxic and causes liver dysfunction, along with other health problems. Zinc causes copper deficiencies at 100-300mg/day and causes acute toxicity at higher doses. Continuous excessive intake of calcium can result in cardiac arrest. All of these vitamins and minerals are essential to human health, but it is possible to overdo it.

Those basic vitamins and minerals have been studied for decades. Researchers know when too much is too much. Research concerning resveratrol has only been ongoing for the last couple of years. We understand that small amounts are good for our health. But, we have no understanding of toxicity that could occur when consuming hundreds or thousands of milligrams per day, which is what some, supplement companies recommend.

20-50mg per day is sufficient. More than 100mg per day is risky. Doses of 200mg per day or more could cause serious problems.

If you are like most people, you want to do everything that you can to protect your health and reduce your risk of serious diseases. There is still much that we do not know, but more and more information is becoming available.

It seems that dietary nutrients can help reduce our risk of cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, macular degeneration, type II diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and many other health problems. A good multi-nutritional supplement takes the guess work out of how much of these things you should consume every day, as long as the manufacturer realizes the risk of overdoing it.

There is no indication that I can find that resveratrol rebuilds heart cells, but it could prolong the life of those cells, as long as we don’t overdo it.

Treatment Options for Mantle Cell Lymphoma

A rare form of the Non-Hodgkin disease is the Mantle cell lymphoma. This disease is quite dangerous because its tumor grows very fast and ends up affecting most of the organs.

Generally, people are diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma only when the disease has affected more organs and so, treating them is a little bit difficult because several areas of the body must be treated in the same time. The most indicated treatment in this case is chemotherapy.

Chemotherapy tries to stop cancerous cells from growing or dividing. There can be used oral drugs or drugs injected into the vein or muscle that will reach the cancer cells by entering the bloodstream, and is called systemic chemotherapy. In mantle cell lymphoma doctors use a combination of four drugs administered in a single day and then repeated every 3 weeks for 6 times.

In most of the cases, mantle cell lymphoma therapy is not useful and even if the response to the treatment seemed to be good, the disease comes back very often. In preventing this, doctors have used different drug combinations and the most successful was one treatment used in leukemia too. This treatment is unbearable for many of the patients due to its side effects, and doctors will not recommend this drug combination if they feel that the patient will not tolerate the treatment.

In most cases, after chemotherapy is done, stem cells previously taken from the patient’s blood or bone marrow or from a donor will be thawed and replaced through an infusion, in order to restore the body’s blood cells destroyed by the chemotherapy.

Biological therapy has proved to be useful in treating many forms of lymphoma, and it uses monoclonal antibodies. These antibodies are made from an immune system cell and are designed to seek and destroy all the substances that can help cancer cells to grow and develop. One of the monoclonal antibodies used in treating Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is Rituximab. This antibody could be used in treating mantle cell lymphoma too.

There have been developed some new drugs but they are still under tests in clinical trials. Bortezomib is one of them and using it seems to lead to the death of cancer cells.

Using radiation therapy proved to be inefficient because it did not lead to a remarkably extinction of the cancer cells and it only weakened the human organism.

Until now there is no cure for this disease and no certain effective treatment. In order to discover a useful therapy, doctors will encourage you to join a clinical trial and help them improve the medical treatment of this terrible disease.

Cell Restoration In Our Body-What Can One Do To Enhance Cell Restoration

Technology is always evolving and with in the last couple of years there has been remarkable discoveries made in research. Surprisingly, a discovery has been made based on the science of Glyco Biology.

The science of Glyco Biology revolves around the discovery of monosacharides that assist the body in cell to cell communication.

What scientists has found is that on the outside of our cells are little tree like structures called glyco forms and on these glyco forms are monosacharides that is vital for one cell to communicate with an other.

Cells communicate billions of messages every day about everything that happens in your body.

To give you an example: Cells has to recognize when there is damaged cells and then communicate to the killer cells to destroy them or else they may become a tumor as cancer. Cells need to communicate about what to do with the nutrients that you take in. Your body also need to be able to communicate to create stem cells that are blank cells that can be turned into any cell in the body to repair certain damaged areas in your body. This is vital if you have had a serious injury of some kind.

Think about the communication that takes place when you do something simple like moving your finger. Millions of cells had to communicate for you to be able to do that. That is nothing compared to what your body has to be able to communicate about 24/7 for your entire life.

Through lack of these 8 essential monosacharides in our daily diet we indefinitely will get to a stage where we have one or more health challenges. One just has to look around to see that people are not getting better in this day and age but are in fact getting sicker.

Now you know why. It is because of the deficiency of these 8 monosacharides also referred to as sugars. One has to supplement with something called a Glyco Nutrient to have your body benefit from what it physiologically require to function optimally.

A Glyco Nutrient consist of all 8 sugars and is nowhere to be found in nature in a natural form that include all 8 sugars. It can only be found as a Glyco Nutrient in the form of a proprietary patented product from a public company that has the patents to the stabilization proses to this product and can only be obtained via associates directly from the company that deliver it to the customers home.

It is not available in any shop or pharmacy and any health shop or pharmacy that claim to have glyco nutrient or any glocy technology is in breach of International laws and fraudulently producing or distributing something that is not a glyco nutrient.

What happens when you take a glyco nutrient?

Well, as mentioned before, on the outside of our cells are glyco forms and on these glyco forms are supposed to be 8 monosacharides that is required for cell to cell communication. If one of these monosacharides are not on a glyco form then proper communication cannot take palce from one cell to the other.

Imagine that you have a phone number of a friend but one digit is incorrect or missing. Would you be able to phone him or her?

The answer is no.

This is the case when monosacharides are missing on these structures of our cells and as time go by, your immune system is compromised making your body extremely vulnerable to various health challenges mainly with regard to auto immune diseases.

Interesting to note is the fact that it is these sugars that determine your blood group and as you know, you cannot give AB blood to A or B blood group. Just show you what the significant is with regard to these sugars in our body.

Glyco nutritionals assist the body in restoring the structures on these glyco forms by replacing the lacking monosacharides that restore proper cell to cell communication that lead to improved health.

The science of Glyco Biology is considered by MIT as being one of the top 10 emerging technologies that is going to change the world.

MIT has regarded cell phone technology as disruptive technology that will change the world and similarly MIT has regarded this science as disruptive technology that is going to change the world.

Documentation on the science of Glyco Biology can be obtained from the Harpers Illustrated 27 th Edition. There is a company that has proprietary patented technology described as Real Food Technology that is based on the science of Glyco Biology. This wellness company is the only company on the planet that has Real Food Technology.

Their technology adheres to all International Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and boast with the National Science Foundation (NSF) stamp of approval on their products that are validated in science to actually do what the label says that it does.

Further more, the company has stringent quality control in place to make sure that their products are of the highest standard with stabilized, standardized Real Food Technology supplements that promote cell to cell communication, regulation of the endocrine system, nourishment and protection from free radical damage from our toxic world that we live in with one of the most powerful antioxidants on the globe and it is not me just saying so. The scientific validation is their to back me up.

In fact, there is a website with the publications of the validation of their technology and being a public company they have to provide accurate information or the company would be shut down.

This lecture, by Dr. Nadia Rosenthal, discusses the role of stem cells in the regeneration and repair of tissues, and their possible medicinal application through the harnessing of their regenerative properties. HHMI description: Human tissues vary in their ability to heal and regenerate. The nervous system has weak powers of regeneration, while the skin is quick to make new cells for repair. Mammalian muscle cells are intermediate in their ability to regenerate. Human muscle can regenerate in response to minor wounds and normal wear and tear, but humans will not grow a new bicep, for example, in response to amputation. The heart is the most important muscle in the body and yet has feeble regenerative capabilities. Research into the wholesale production of new replacement organs and limbs is in its infancy, but research into enhancing normal levels of regeneration is progressing rapidly. Recent discoveries concerning the location and characteristics of adult stem cells and the signals that wounded tissue produces to activate stem cells have increased our understanding of regeneration. Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) is an example of an important stem cell communication molecule. If the activity of the growth factor is experimentally enhanced, muscle regeneration improves.

Treating Leukemia Using Cord Blood Cells

Leukemia is the cancer of blood and bone marrow, resulting in a decreased number of white blood cells being produced. It starts taking place from the tissues that make up the blood.

As leukemia leads to a decreased number of white blood cells, the treatment should be able to bring that number up to the required one. One such treatment that helps to a great extent in this condition is that of blood from umbilical cord.

Cord blood is that blood which is collected after the birth of a baby, from the umbilical cord. The blood stays in the umbilical cord that has been detached and in the placenta after birth.

Stem cells are present in cord blood in a high number, which is why cord blood is useful for the treatment of leukemia. Stem cells play a major role in repairing and curing cells that have been injured or affected by a disease. They are obtained from the destruction of an embryo.

The stem cells do so by their quality of being able to take the shape of any other cell or tissue in the body, so that they can replace the harmed ones.

The treatment of leukemia is carried out after the birth of a baby, so that cord blood can be taken from the umbilical cord. Then, the blood is provided to the sufferer of leukemia in high doses, in the form of chemotherapy. This is when the stem cells begin their work.

Once the stem cells are injected into the blood stream of the person, they begin transforming into white blood cells, which were needed by the body. This way, the number reaches to the one required. One can only get hold of cord blood just when the birth takes place, which can later be utilized again at any time.

Learning About Stem Enhance Cells

Stem cells can be thought of as master cells. Stem cells are found in human embryos, but are also found in adult tissue. Adult cells are mostly in large quantities found in bone marrow. Stem cells circulate and function to replace dysfunctional cells, therefore fulfilling the natural process of maintaining optimal health.

Stem cells are the basic building blocks of your body. They have the ability to change into any tissue of your body to rebuild itself in times of stress or aging. Out of the three different stem cells available, two are used most for stem cell research.

Adult master cells are master cells that are found within the body after birth. Every one of us is created and living from our own master cells within our bodies. During our childhood, our bodies will release large amounts of master cells to enhance our bodies.

Adult stem cells are mostly found within bone marrow. From the bone marrow it’s then released into the blood stream where it travels throughout the body in the search of an organ that is in need. If your liver is in need of repair, the adult stem cell will then attach itself to the liver and begin to multiply and become a new, healthy liver cell. Adult stem cells are the natural way in which the body rebuilds itself.

Over time, as we start to age, the body tends to not release as many adult stem cells as it once did. So when there is a need, there are fewer amounts within the blood stream to answer the call. Master cells are important for many various reasons. Inner cells give increase to the entire body, including all of the many specialized cell types and organs. These include heart, lung, skin, sperm, eggs, and lots of other tissues. In adult tissues like bone marrow, muscle, and brain separate populations of adult stems cells generate placements for cells that are lost through normal wear and tear, injury, and disease.

Because of the regenerative abilities, stem cells are great options for treating many diseases. Theses diseases are Parkinson’s, diabetes, and heart disease. When you have stem cell support it includes enhancing optimal wellness and can also fight the effects of aging. Healthy cells can help you with feeling stronger and more energetic as the retirement years are upon you. People from and age want to enjoy good health as well as feel and look good having healthy master cells can give that to anyone.

To replenish cells from our bone marrow and tissues helping your heart, liver and other organs, try Stem Cell Activator. This helps to activate naturally millions of stem cells from our own bone marrow. Stem cells will multiply and are able to become heart cells, liver cells or any other organ. Stem cells are even under our skin layered between the epidermis and dermis. This is why an increase in stem cells under our skin may help to create a more youthful cell that would replenish elastin and collagen and may make us look younger.

Cord Blood Cell Transplant India – Low Cost Cord Blood Cell Transplant

Cord Blood Cell Transplant In India

Cord Blood Stem Cell Transplant

Stem cells have a remarkable capability to divide persistently and differentiate into different types of cells present in our body. From red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets to bone, cartilage, fibrous connective tissue, and fat, stem cells have the ability to form each and every type of cell present in the body. Although stem cells can be produced in other ways, in adults, bone marrow is the primary source of stem cells…..

What is Stem Cell Transplant ?

Stem cell transplant is an intricate procedure in which healthy stem cells are infused into the body to replace damaged stem cells. Before introducing the healthy stem cells, the patient is given high dose chemotherapy to destroy all the diseased, as well as normal blood-producing, stem cells in the bone marrow…..

Where Do the Stem Cells for Stem Cell Transplant Come From ?

Stem cells for stem cell transplant come from four primary sources : -

A ] Umbilical Cord Blood : -

Until recently, the umbilical cord was considered to be waste material and was discarded soon after birth. Nowadays, many parents choose to drain their newborns umbilical cord blood in order to preserve the valuable cord blood stem cells that are contained within this blood….

B ] Bone Marrow : -

For harvesting the stem cells from the bone marrow, the donor is given anaesthesia (general or local) and the marrow is drawn out of the hipbone or breastbone through a needle. The entire process takes about one hour. However, it does require that the donor be hospitalized for a few days….

C ] Peripheral Blood : -

For retrieval of stem cells from the peripheral blood, the donor is first administered medications for about four to five days to increase the number of stem cells in his blood. Next, a process known as apheresis, whereby blood is drained from a vein in the arm, is performed….

D ] Embryo : -

The fourth source of stem cells is the embryo. For the extraction of these stem cells, an egg is fertilized in vitro. When the fertilized egg has developed for four to five days (the blastocyst stage), the stem cells are retrieved…..

What are the Different Types of Stem Cell Transplant ?

Stem cell transplant can be divided into three types : -

Autologous stem cell transplant, in which healthy stem cells are retrieved from the individual’s body and given back to him….

Allogeneic stem cell transplant, where stem cells given to the patient are either donated by an immediate family member or an unrelated person…..

Syngeneic stem cell transplant, whereby stem cells come from the identical twin of the patient….

Tandem autologous transplant, where the patient undergoes two autologous stem cell transplant within a span of six months…..

Mini allogeneic (nonmyeloablative) stem cell transplant, in which the patient undergoes a less intense conditioning process before an allogenic stem cell transplant……

Can Stem Cells from any Donor be Given to a Patient ?

On the surface of our body cells, there are special sets of proteins called human leukocyte associated antigen or HLA-antigen. The more closely the HLA-antigens on the donor’s stem cells match with those on the recipient stem cells, the higher the probability of an allogeneic stem cell transplant being successful…..

How is a Patient Prepared for a Stem Cell Transplant ?

Before a stem cell transplant, several tests are performed to assess the overall health and condition of the patient. In addition to these tests, an intravenous catheter may be surgically inserted into a main vein in your chest, up towards your neck. During the duration of the treatment, this catheter will be used for chemotherapy, to infuse the stem cells, for any blood transfusions and even for providing nutrition…..

Cord Blood vs. Bone Marrow Transplants

Since 1998, advances in cord blood technology has allowed cord blood transplants to become an increasingly desirable alternative to traditional bone marrow transplants in patients requiring a stem cell transplant. And while bone marrow transplants continue be a more commonly performed procedure, there is evidence that suggests this may be changing. But is a cord blood transplant really a more effective procedure? The truth is, it depends on the circumstance….

In addition, cord blood transplants are generally better suited for those younger than 30 years of age and who weigh less than 60 kilograms. Bone marrow transplants, on the other hand, are not recommended for individuals with kidney, lung, liver or heart diseases or disorders…..

We at We Care Health Services, India have a different approach towards medical tourism as opposed to our counterparts abroad. Our medical tourism process starts with suggesting, brokering and referring the patient to the selected hospital and doctor but does not end there. We have direct first name relationship with all the major doctors and surgeons in our partner hospitals in India. We actually service the patients while they are in India for the surgery / treatment. Our team of Clinical Coordinators and Patient Care Managers meet the patient daily, coordinate clinically and non clinically with the hospital doctors and staff to ensure smooth and trouble less care to the patients and their attendants….
